More than Conquerors
What if we operated with the knowledge that we have already won the battle over sin and death? We are more than conquerors it says in Romans 8, so why don’t we live like it?
“I am writing to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I am writing to you who are young in the faith because you have won your battle with the evil one. I have written to you who are God’s children because you know the Father. I have written to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I have written to you who are young in the faith because you are strong. God’s word lives in your hearts, and you have won your battle with the evil one.” 1 John 2:13-14
Is God’s Word living in your heart?
Is it transforming your mind and your life?
Are you learning new revelation and gaining new insight and wisdom from God on a daily basis?
How does God speak to you through His Word? I hope you open His love letter to you every day. You are His beloved and He is yours. He is drawing you in. God is pursuing you with reckless abandon because He loves you. He longs to meet with you and show you His love and kindness which leads us to repentance. He doesn’t want you to strive to be better or work on earning his love and acceptance. He wants you to know you already won His heart. There is nothing more you need to do to win God’s favor. Accepting His Son Jesus and surrendering to His Lordship is enough. Daily die to self and take up your cross and follow Him. His yoke is easy and the burden is light. He blessed us with the power of the Holy Spirit to live out this Christian life so why would you try to do it in your own strength? Rest in Him. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and all things will be added unto you,” the Bible says in Mathew 6:33. I like the NLT version, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” I hope and pray you are encouraged to let God in your life more and more each day. You have the victory.
You already won your battle over the evil one!
